About Namibgrens

For four generations the Rabie family has lived on Namibgrens, building it to the fully functioning cattle farm it is today and sharing its abundant beauty with guests from all around the globe through various accommodation facilities.

Built in 1928, the original farmhouse offers old-world charm which is experienced with all one’s senses. The hosts are welcoming, hospitable people who personify true Namibian warmth and character. The guest rooms are fitted with yester-year furniture – well loved and used by generations. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the farmstead and milieu present the ideal environment for bird-watching. Namibgrens boasts 230 species!

The altitude of 1850m ensures an extremely moderate climate where summer temperatures are on average 10° lower than that of the desert and 5° lower than Windhoek’s. In winter months the farm is sometimes transformed into a snow-wonderland! Seeing snow in the world’s oldest desert is quite an experience.

Namibgrens is a hiker’s paradise with its various trails catering for different fitness levels and preferences. All trails were laid out with breath-taking views at the centre of the experience.

The 4×4 enthusiast will be rewarded with tough and challenging trails leading to astounding views!

We look forward to welcoming you and sharing the wonder that is Namibgrens.
